It’s the 34th Annual Shawsville July 4th Celebration!
It’s an old fashioned Fourth!
The parade begins at five — horses and fire trucks and floats and antique cars and all kinds of things, including the World Famous Shawsville Ruritan Marching Kazoo Band — moving down Oldtown Road to the old football field. Down there, Fort Vause and friends will play bluegrass. A magician will entertain the kids (and adults, too). There are always interesting things to see and good food to eat. There’s a raffle of items donated by local folks and merchants; a 50/50 raffle; a raffle to aid the LINC Letter (with more than 70 prizes); a raffle of baked goods and too much fun to talk about here.
The evening ends with a fireworks extravaganza, courtesy of Sisson & Ryan Quarry. It’s something to see.
This is a celebration of our country and our community and the Shawsville Ruritans’ primary fundraiser, so you’ll be helping out the good folks of Eastern Montgomery County while you’re having a good time and honoring America.
Y’all come!
